forageSF Underground Market, 2010
ForageSF was conceived by Iso Rabins in early 2008, with the mission to connect Bay Area dwellers with the wild food that is all around them. ForageSF first began through a monthly box of all wild foraged foods, which we call a CSF. The box delivers fresh, sustainably harvest wild food to city dwellers. Our goal is to push people out of the supermarket, to get them trying new foods harvested sustainably and fairly by their neighbors. ForageSF started with the CSF box and has blossomed into an organization that puts on various food-related events such as our Underground Markets and our 8-course Wild Kitchen dinners. We are now collaborating with various local organizations that have similar ethics and commonalities as we do.
