Requiem for fossil fuels, 2010

O+A (Bruce Odland and Sam Auinger) are renowned and award winning sound artists and composers who have been opening the ears of people around the world to new ways of hearing for twenty years.  Their ground breaking work re-tuning cities has moved beyond the world of music and art to attract the attention of major media and the international science community.  Their new performance piece Requiem for fossil fuels (2010) challenges the standard visual thinking on our current situation and provides a sonic gestalt on the balance of power between humans, machines and nature.  The singers for the O+A performance are mezzo soprano Hai-Ting Chinn, soprano Martha Cluver, bass Mark Uhlemann  and tenor Geoffrey Silver.
