Scott Kildall and Victoria Scott

In No Matter (2008), Scott Kildall and Victoria Scott used meticulous hand-crafting and three-dimensional computer modeling to give physical form to virtual worlds that speak to our cultural imagination. Kildall and Scott hired individuals in Second Life—a popular online virtual world—to create three-dimensional models of forty legendary objects, such as the Holy Grail and Yellow Submarine. Then, Kildall and Scott printed the models on paper and meticulously assembled them.
