Many of us are familiar with bronzed baby shoes as childhood memorials. Brooklyn-based artist Saul Becker gathers weeds and other plants growing in the nooks and crannies of the sidewalks and vacant lots around his studio and uses a similar process, electroplating, to memorialize the persistence and beauty of commonplace plant life in even the densest of urban environments.
