Exhibitions, Global Warning Symposium

About me:

My name is Maayan Glaser-Koren, I guess you wonder who am I? so here we go. My passion for art began long time ago. When I was a child my parents took me to museums and encouraged me to create. In my bachelor studies I had two majors, French Studies and Art History; these two subjects completed each other. Then I realized that I do love art and I would like to teach Art History, therefore I have a teaching certificate in Israel. Currently I am in the Art History graduate program at San Jose State University. My main fields are contemporary art, new media, art and technology, art and science, and women’s art. During my studies in San Jose State I gain me experience as teaching assistant in the field of contemporary art and new media art. In the future? I see myself continue my studies toward PHD and teach! In my free time I like listen to music, read books, walk my dog, do some craft work, serf the net, and hang out with my friends.

Global Warning Symposium:

I will be leading in depth discussions via social networks on Ustream over the topics that the scientists, artists and panelists present during the two day symposium about Artists, Scientists and Environmental Activists.

Throughout the weekend I will be jumping gallery to gallery for the amazing art in the SoFa district. Watch my feeds to find out where I’m at.
