Join us for hands on design activities exploring the speculative uses of robotics and sensing technologies for small-scale local agriculture. Each daily workshop will start with an informal discussion and then proceed to explore of one of the following topics: Camouflaging sensors for urban agriculture, seed-bombing blimps and other forms of remote seed deployment, cheese computing, mapping for foraging, or cucumber robotics.
In addition, drop by the growBot Garden space for the growBot Garden Southern Fried Robots Social Hour! Chat about design, small-scale local agriculture, and emerging technologies. Demos will be available for hands-on exploration. Southern hospitality included daily 5-7pm from Saturday, 9/11/10 – Tuesday, 9/14/10 and again from Thursday, 9/16/10 – Saturday, 9/18/10.
