Green Prix General Entry

The Green Prix is a parade and festival taking place during the 01SJ Biennial that celebrates inventive ideas related to sustainable locomotion. It is an opportunity for artists and the public alike to produce, participate in, and experience innovative projects related to eco-themed transportation.

Green Prix Parade

ZER01 invites public participation in the Green Prix Parade. The Green Prix parade will be an eclectic, artistic eco-moition procession beginning in the South Hall parking lot and proceeding down South 1st Street through the SoFA district. A parade of human-powered, electric, solar and many other sustainable locomotive projects will cascade down the street displaying an array of artistic mobility.

Green Prix Festival

Following the Parade, we will be hosting an all day Festival on South 1st Street where parade entries will be on display and available for visitors to interact with and possibly even test out. The Festival will be filled with “green” creations, parade projects, family oriented do-it-yourself workshops, demonstrations, local galleries and music performances.

Participants are welcome to apply for both the parade and the festival. However, it is not required to participate in both. Prior to applying to participate in the Green Prix parade or festival, please review the overview of the Green Prix.

Important Details:

• Entries must respond to the Green Prix’s overarching theme regarding sustainable locomotion.
• Parade Route is approximately 1 mile long, entries should plan to complete entire length.
• Entry is free up until August 1st, apply early!
• Prizes will be awarded to the most creative and innovative entries–more details will be posted soon.

Entry Fee:
January 01-August 01: Free
August 02-September 17: $15.00
Day of September 18: $25.00

Additionally, the first 100 projects to register will be entered to win a highly desirable Green Prix prize.
