June 2010 – June 2012
Public Art: San José Office of Cultural Affairs Public Art Program (OCA)
Exhibition: Small Wonders
Public Art: SuttonBeresCuller, The Wunderkammer
Through a range of projects from permanent, architecturally integrated to temporary this program of technology-related artworks will give visitors an immediate sense of the City of San Jose as a place where ideas are born. Projects include works by Christian Moeller, Deborah Aschheim, Bjorn Schulke, Camille Utterback, Gorbet + Baneriee, Angela Filo, Ben Hooker + Shona Kitchen, Bill Fontana, Gregory Kucera, and UeBERSEE with Nik Hafermaas, Dan Goods, and Aaron Koblin. Note: only those projects that are “pre-security” are accessible to the non-ticketed general public.
In addition, SuttonBeresCuller’s The Wunderkammer for the Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport will transform the display case and it’s intersecting column into a cabinet of curiosities. And as part of the Airport Art & Technology program, ZER01 has curated Small Wonders, a modern day cabinet of curiosities that consists of artworks at the intersection of art, technology, and digital culture.
