Social Media Builders connect with the Biennial theme Build Your Own World and leveraged social media tools such as Foursquare, Twitter, Youtube, Wordpress, Flickr and Facebook. The participating art student “Builders” could be “followed” and reported in real time during the Biennial. Each Builder focused on a particular experience such as film, exhibitions, play, etc., that allowed the audience to personalize their experience. The Builders could be followed online or in person identifiable by brightly colored hacked t-shirts, smart phones and cameras.
